The Howl'n Duchess Inn is a Small Free Company focused primarily on casual gameplay and roleplay that touch on Ishgardian and Dravanian Themes. FC related RP mostly involves the activities and scenarios that happen within The Howl'n Duchess Inn, A privately owned small inn within Empyreum where stories are traded like marbles and mixed company is shared all within the warm and cozy ambiance of the renovated airship. Cigar smoke hangs in the air and just outside, blades hide in the shadows along with the bitter cold its patrons seek succor from.We are currently looking for players (both Veteran and New Sprouts) and RP Characters who will associate or have enthusiasm with Ishgardian and Dravanian Themes. Regardless, we accept any player from any walk of life and interest.

Perform from the corner table or atop it—so long as the crowd's smiling and no one's on fire, you'll do just fine.Applicants must be of legal age, thick-skinned, and confident in their craft. The proprietor will see to it that all performers are treated with dignity, no matter how rowdy the room gets. Respect is policy—even if the ale flows freer than the manners.

Servers

Do you have a sharp tongue, a steady hand, and the patience of a saint? The Howl’n Duchess seeks capable servers to keep the gears turning and the guests content.From front desk duties and drink orders to handling complaints with charm (or steel, if need be), you’ll be the lifeblood of the establishment. Expect varied tasks, colorful clientele, and the occasional bit of chaos.Applicants must be of legal age, quick on their feet, and unbothered by strong personalities or stranger requests. The proprietor guarantees fair treatment, timely pay, and a healthy respect for those who keep the inn’s heart beating.

Cooks

Got a talent for turning scraps into suppers and bone broth into bliss? The Howl’n Duchess is in need of a cook who can tame a temperamental stove and keep the bellies of mercs, misfits, and minor nobles alike from rumbling.Expect irregular hours, unpredictable requests, and the occasional mystery meat. Creativity encouraged—just don’t poison anyone (on accident).Applicants must be of legal age, able to work under pressure, and unbothered by loud voices, bloody aprons, or the occasional rat in the pantry (we mean that literally, not metaphorically). Clean workspace, timely pay, and the full backing of the proprietor—so long as no one dies of underseasoning.

Breakfast

Coalbelly Hash

A hearty morning mash of cracked grains, wild mushrooms, charred onions, and a fried egg slapped on top like a sunrise over soot. Seasoned with black pepper, salt, and just enough grease to make the spoon stick.Favored by miners, mercs, and anyone who wakes up hungover but still has to lift something heavy. May contain a stone or two if the cook’s still half-asleep—swish carefully.

Halonic Halo-Cakes

A towering stack of golden flapjacks, griddled crisp on the edges and soft as prayer cushions at the center. Drenched in a warm, chunky syrup made from frost-kissed berries native to Coerthas—tart, sweet, and just wild enough to bite back. Finished with a snowdrift of whipped cream and a dusting of powdered sugar that falls like fresh morning flurries.Best eaten before the syrup melts your resolve or a knight eats your share. Served hot, humble, and with the blessing of whatever god you whisper to before the first forkful.

Dinner

Skybuilder's Stew

Simmered over open flame until the flavors wallops you like a heavy fist and served bubbling hot with a hunk of crusty bread.Occasionally, a rogue tooth surfaces in the pot—Vick calls it a "bonus," but we’ll understand if you call it a night.

Highwind Gravy

A tender chocobo cutlet, pan-seared and finished in a rich, Marsala-style sauce brewed from dark rum and wild Coerthan mushrooms—earthy, bold, and just a little bit fancy (but not enough to scare the regulars). It’s plated atop a bed of mashed popotos, fluffed with butter and sky-salt, and finished with a generous pinch of chopped chivesWarm, filling, and elegant in a “stolen-from-a-noble’s-kitchen” sort of way. You’ll need a nap—or a duel—after.
